Director of Development

Brethren Housing Association, a faith-based non-profit social service agency in the city of Harrisburg that provides transitional housing and mentoring to homeless women and children in rehabilitated city properties, is seeking a Director of Development. This full-time position focuses on grant-writing, donor relations, special events and annual campaign coordination, and includes support of other public relations efforts such as speaking engagements in local churches.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience in fundraising/marketing or a related profession, and be a personable, self-motivated professional with strong writing, organizational, networking and communication skills. This job entails relationship building with donors and other local funders with the ultimate goal of enhancing the organization's vision fulfillment through resource development. Experience managing multi-year fundraising campaigns a plus.
