Holiday Opportunities

We have several opportunities to support the families at BHA during the holidays.  Here are some of the ways in which you as individuals, families, small groups or entire churches can support the BHA families during the holiday season:

 

Christmas Adopt-A-Family

Help provide a special Christmas to our BHA families! Choose the family size you would like to adopt and provide gifts for each family member in the household. BHA moms will provide a wish list of important details for each family member including name, age, gender, clothing size, and suggested gift ideas. Using this list, you may purchase 3-4 gifts for each family member and wrap and include a gift tag with each individual’s name. After you select your family size, our Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, Gillian Sumpter will provide you with the family's wish list by November 12th. All gifts are to be delivered to BHA between Monday, December 13 and Friday, December 17, 2021.
 

Holiday Meals

Thank you for choosing to provide a holiday dinner for a family at BHA. Thanksgiving boxes should be delivered to BHA no later than Friday, November 19. Christmas boxes should be delivered no later than Friday, December 17.

 

All Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner boxes should contain the list of items below:​

• Instant mashed potatoes (1 large box)

• Stuffing mix (1 large box)

• Cranberry sauce (2 cans)

• Turkey gravy mix (2 packets or jars)

• Green beans (2, 14 oz. cans)

• Mixed vegetables or corn (2, 14 oz. cans)

• Applesauce (1 large can or jar)

• Family size boxed dessert mix

• Rice or Noodles (1 lb. dry bag)

• Turkey (15 to 20 lbs.)​
