Ways to Get Involved

Volunteer

Because of our incredible volunteers, BHA is able to put the money that would be spent to purchase items or hire workers back into the life-changing programs we offer. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available at BHA including:

• Adopt an Apartment: Clean, furnish, and decorate an apartment for a mom and her children to have a safe place to call home. This is a great opportunity for church and civic organizations, groups of friends and families, or businesses wanting to give back to the community in a meaningful way.
   

• Youth Program: Join us each Monday evening to work with the children in our program while mom is at Life Skills class. ​

• Donate supplies: Help families have the items they need by donating cleaning products, hygiene items, and gift cards to Walmart or Target. This is a great way to get kids involved by holding a donation drive through a youth group or asking for donations at a birthday party.
   

• Work group: Assist the BHA Property Manager with renovation projects, maintenance needs, painting, and cleaning. There are opportunities available for adult and youth work days.
   

• Serve on an event committee: Have fun and make a difference by joining a committee to help plan the Golf Tournament, Little Black Dress Soiree, or the Annual Celebration.
   

• Serve on a Board Committee: Use your professional expertise to help BHA continue to thrive and meet the needs of our community.
